Inclement Weather and Field Closure Policy
Submitted By John Downes on Tuesday, May 10, 2016
Regular season games get underway the week of May 9th.   Sometimes Mother Nature does not co-operate and weather or field closures may cause games to be cancelled and re-scheduled.

Please click read more to view the Windsor South inclement weather and field closure policy.

In the event of inclement weather and potential field closures, families should follow the procedures outlined below:

Team managers may not be able to access or send out e-mails during the work day and as such may not necessarily e-mail their families about game status.

We ask that before proceeding to the park families check our website - www.windsorsouth.com for the most recent news, our twitter feed @Windsor_South where will retweet any City of Windsor field closure tweets, or your message and or email app for Remind updates.  Signing up for remind is the best way to receive weather and field status information as soon as it changes.

If there has not been an update to these sources by 5pm families and players should proceed to the park and assume that games will proceed as scheduled.  Once at the park the umpires and managers are tasked with deciding if it is safe for the game to proceed under each fields particular conditions.
